Buying A Plot

Schedule a Meeting/Tour

Once you have reviewed the information on this website, you will want to schedule an appointment for a meeting and tour of the cemetery.

Meetings and Tours are by appointment only and can be made by calling 770-483-7535. Appointments are available Sunday - Friday only.

What to Expect at the Meeting/Tour

When you arrive at Honey Creek Woodlands one of our stewards will explain the burial process and pricing while showing you a slideshow of the land and previous burials. You will then be taken on a tour of the grounds to see the available burial sites.

Since Honey Creek is primarily a nature preserve, you will not find neat rows of available plots with metal markers denoting the plot number. Instead, your steward will take you through the meadows, pines, woodlands, and then to the hilltop. Once you pick an area of the cemetery that you prefer, you are free to choose from any of the available sites in that area. Please note that there may be some spots that are unsuitable for natural burial, but can be selected for the burial of cremated remains.

After you have selected your spot, you will return to the office to fill out the necessary paperwork.

Pricing

Natural burial is generally about half the cost of a modern burial.

Meadow Section: $2,500

Pine Forest: $3,000

Hill Top: N/A

Grave digging and site prep charge: $900.00

(To be paid at time of burial.)

Cremation Burials

Meadow Section: $950

Pine Forest: $1,500

Woodland Section: $1,750

Pine Woods: $1,750

Meadow View: $1,250

Hill Side Section: $1,750

Hill Top Section: $2,500

Site prep and digging charge: $250.
(To be paid at time of burial.)

Payments
A 10% discount is applied to all Burial Rights that are paid in full at the time of purchase.

Payment plans are available:

Minimum down payment of $250
Minimum monthly payments of:

$50 for burial rites under $1,500

$100 for burial rites over $1,500

No Interest charges

Grave Markers

Stones with engraving: $250 to $450. Markers are natural stones from the local area; no two stones are alike.

Stones take 6-8 weeks for delivery. Placement of stones is included in the pricing, however, families are welcome to place the markers if they wish.
